Originally released back in 2006, Tenchu hit the PSP first in the UK with Tenchu: Time of the Assassins, the gameplay was more a direct port of PS2 games Tenchu: Fatal Shadows and Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven . Finally Rikimaru and Ayame have finally snuck into the US and infiltrated the PSP, these two ninjas are swift and deadly.
Tenchu: Shadow Assassins has adapted it’s gameplay to the handheld very well and has streamlined the gameplay to allow shorter missions and quicker kills, keeping the intensity and fun intact. Missions are more linear in the path that’s available to you to allow quick jump in and out gameplay but are open enough for multiple play styles and replayability. The game does not offer any co-op ad hoc game mode just a solid straight forward single player campaign.
